 Key Achievements

    Westpac – Project Director Delivery GCM Program
  • Successful turnaround of this key strategic program for Westpac, targeted at implementing a new Group Customer Master database to house customer data across all Westpac brands. At the time of assuming delivery management responsibility for the program the next two quarterly releases were Red. By revising the Project Management hierarchy, recruiting a new delivery leadership team and clarifying delivery processes, was able to lead the team of over 80 IT professionals to successful delivery of two major quarterly infrastructure and application releases.

  • IBM GBS – Senior Project Manager Westpac SOA/ESB Program
  • Led the delivery of the first release of this IBM Service Oriented Architecture/Enterprise Service Bus Program in very aggressive timeframes driven by Westpac’s requirements to implement six weeks ahead of the initial delivery forecast. Achieved this whilst also resolving a broad range of architectural and design issues driven by the immaturity of this key enterprise platform

  • Pension Insurance Corporation – Head of Transition Management
  • Implemented the Transition Program Management capability to this dynamic start up UK Corporate Pension Scheme Buyout Company.
    • Defined the Transition Program Management process;
    • Led the execution of seven transition programs which transferred over £2.2B and 11,000 members from their legacy Corporate Pension arrangements to Pension Insurance Corporation new enterprise platform
    • Managed the implementation of the company’s custody arrangements with JPMorgan;
    • Concluded negotiations of Investment Management Agreements with 3 target asset managers and a reinsurance agreement with Pension Security Insurance Corporation (PSIC).

    ING Australia - Head of Technology Client Services and Corporate Super
  • Led two IT departments at this major Australian wealth management company. Reporting directly to the CIO, but indirectly to the Executive Directors of two core business units, managed 95 resources in the provision of services to develop and support INGA’s corporate superannuation platforms as well as its client facing technology:
    • Implemented, on time and on budget, the largest quarterly release of INGA’s WinSAS and Integ/MPE Corporate Super platforms in recent years involving a major technology refresh
    • Delivered four quarterly eBusiness releases introducing major extensions to the INGA Account Access suite as well as introducing OneContact, a sales force automation tool.

    Vodafone Australia – Program Manager
  • Delivered a range of business and IT projects within this leading Australian Telecommunications Company. Project scope included technology solution, marketing campaign activities, regulatory and legal approvals, customer operations handover and sales support:
    • Program Vista: Led the rollout of a Global Web Enablement Initiative across Australian and New Zealand businesses. Took Australia and New Zealand from trailing the other global businesses to being the world leader at the first major milestone
    • Program XXXX: Delivered program to support a Marketing campaign to provide a pre-paid SIM with the Sunday newspaper in Queensland. The issue of 500,000 SIM cards required enormous provisioning and network capacity issues to be resolved.
