 Key Achievements

  • Managed the successful transition of the first ever whole-of-government IT infrastructure outsourcing contract (South Australian Government). A team of 60 people for 8 months. Transition achieved on time and under budget.

  • Managed the due diligence phase at Integral Energy. Delivered financial and contractual baselines (SLA etc) for the outsourcing contract between Integral and EDS.
  • Negotiated key new ITIL based storage contracts on behalf of Commonwealth Bank.
  • Responsible for growth & add-on business for EDS' largest Australian client - Commonwealth Bank of Australia - achieved 120% of target in 2000, 214% of target in 2001, 140% of target in 2003. Recognised as EDS sales "top performer" - 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2005.
  • Established and then managed the EDS Asia Pacific Solution Response Centre - achieving improved win rates and reduced sales expense within 12 months.
  • As Business Development Manager - ANZ, I led the establishment of Bid Management, Solution Development and Proposal Development operating process and procedures for EDS my team of 30+ Business & Proposal Development Executives.
  • Managed the pre-sale, transition and successful account start-up of a new EDS client - Caltex Australia. In the first 6 months of operation the account exceeded its financial targets, and produced one of the highest client satisfaction scores in EDS Australia for a start-up account.
  • Project Manager for a Crane Tracking System for BHP at Port Kembla Steel Works. A complex real time system for managing slabs directly out of the smelters. The project was delivered on time and to budget, delivering significant efficiency savings.
  • Project Manager for the control system for the Sydney Monorail. A leading edge implementation of mini and micro computing allowing fully automatic control of the network. Customer was TNT via Von Roll Transport Systems (Switzerland). System successfully implemented.
  • Project Manager (UK) for the Navigation Radar System for the Collins Class submarine - on contract to Rockwell Systems (now Boeing). Responsible for managing the subcontractor (Marconi Radar Systems). Delivered on time and under budget.
