Key Achievements
- End to end program management to successfully migrate 47 clients and over 2,400 ATMs to a new IP network – resulting in the creation of one of the largest private IP network in Australia. This $8m program also de-commissioned on-site infrastructure from all client premises and reduced by over $3m the cost of maintaining equipment and the existing leased line network. Client implementations average 2 per week over a 5 month period with a 98% success rate while the ATM roll-out reached a peak of 500 upgrades per month. The program was delivered on-time and within budget.
- Management of 40+ front-end systems and software development projects for BT Investment Management (BTIM). Specific projects including .NET development of a custom FX trading platform, automated product description factsheets and middle-office cash-flow processing. During this time Louise also managed the applications work stream for the spin-off of BT Investment Management from BT Financial Group and established new project governance and reporting processes to support the new business.
- As EDS Development Lead for Credit Cards, POS and ATM systems for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, led all applications development projects. Louise facilitated the CMMi L3 accreditation for this area of EDS and had line management responsibilities for 75 IT professionals working in the area.
- As Program Manager, responsible for development of the over-arching solution design and delivery of all EDS infrastructure and applications components for the replacement of the Commonwealth Bank’s leasing and asset management systems. This major transformation project for the Bank’s “Which new bank?” program was delivered on time and under budget and enabled the replacement of four legacy systems with a single newly commissioned application running on all new infrastructure.
- As Regional Manager for Telstra’s Solutions Implementation Group NSW, successfully delivered all telco projects in NSW including those raised by Westpac and Qantas as part of their major outsourcing agreements with Telstra. Fostered the development and training of a team of 130 project management staff including AIPM accreditation for many of them. Integrated 30 people from the newly acquired Telstra Enterprise Services including Qantas Desktop support teams into the group. The group was awarded “Special Recognition” prize by the Australian Institute of Project Management.
- Led the Y2K Testing Program for the Building Materials Division of the Weyerhaeuser Company in Seattle, Washington. This $20m program also commissioned new mid-range hardware.
