  • 18 years Program and Project Management experience on complex multi-million dollar programs and large enterprise project portfolios, specialising in IT Transition and Transformation (financial services, telecommunications and Government); Business Process Implementation; Defence (software system integration and mechanical) and Civil Engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated track record establishing and leading successful program offices, providing the governance framework, tools and processes to enable effective business change decisions to be made and to deliver programs and projects to requirements, cost and schedule baselines. Able to establish, develop and maintain portfolio, program and project offices in accordance with PMI global standards and the UK Office of Government Commerce P3O model.

Key Achievements

  • Established the Program and Project Management Leadership role for EDS Asia Pacific, accountable for providing the capacity and capability for program and project management services through 500+ program and project management resources.
  • Established, developed and maintained the Regional Enterprise Program Office for EDS Australia and New Zealand. Provided the governance framework for the region’s Integrated Change Agenda, the portfolio of major transition and transformation programs with an annual budget of AU$200m+.
  • Established, developed and maintained the Enterprise Program Office (EPO) for the EDS Commonwealth Bank of Australia Account, a 10 year AU$5B IT partnership. The EPO framework consolidated the end-to-end project and program activity into a single portfolio delivering according to agreed commitments by employing consistent PM standards and discipline.
  • Implemented the Enterprise Program Office for the EDS Telecom New Zealand IT Transition and Transformation. This was the largest IT outsourcing program in New Zealand history, valued in excess of NZ$1.5B, with the transition of 700 IT staff.
  • Established and managed program controls for the implementation phase of the ASI CAPITAL Program, the largest management of business change in Europe at the time, valued at £150m. The Accounting Systems Integrator (ASI) was a joint venture between PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte Consulting, who were responsible for implementing Oracle Financials for the UK Ministry of Defence. The program involved 50+ implementation projects worldwide.
  • Established and executed all aspects of project control for G.J. Cahill, a multi-discipline construction organisation. Implemented the project management systems to control complex contracts on the Hibernia project, the largest construction project in North America at the time with a total project value of CND$6.4B, and the Prince Edward Island-New Brunswick fixed link, the world’s longest bridge over ice-covered water.
  • Developed the 10 year Master Schedule for the NSA/NSH program for Unisys Canada, This was a CND$1.2B contract to develop and build a Canadian variant of the EH101 Helicopter for the Canadian Department of National Defence. Established project management of IMP Aerospace who were contracted to install the mission avionics, system test and conduct flight trials.
  • Senior Planning Engineer on the Canadian Patrol Frigate Program, total value CND $5B, responsible for establishing the project controls to manage the Unisys contract to procure, system engineer and install the combat systems.
