Key Achievements 

• For the past 3 ½ years provided Program Management services to the Commonwealth bank.  These services include:
  • Program management of NetBank release projects
  • Development of the architecture for the NetBank Replacement solution.
  • Second in charge for the Netbank Replacement Program and direct management of the Testing work stream, including Systems Integration, User Acceptance & Systems Assurance Testing of the NetBank Replacement solution.
• As a consultant, provided Strategic advice in the implementation & outsourcing of the JD Edwards (ERP) solution at the Crane Group
• As General Manager of RailTek for 3 years (infrastructure outsource service provider and developer for National Rail & DMRs second largest customer world-wide) resurrected the dysfunctional relationship between National Rail, RailTek and DMR, achieving high customer satisfaction, and contract renewal.
• Managed the design, development, testing and implementation of all National Rail enterprise systems, including an organisation wide Oracle Financials solution, the Intermodal Control System (in Oracle Forms) and the Train Management System (Java/Tuxedo Message Control System) the largest commercial Java development in the world at that time, in excess of 250 man years of development.
• Implemented a complete suite of Core Business systems, replacing all ‘Legacy’ systems prior to the Y2K deadline for Railtek.
• As Manager of Emerging Business Systems and Facilities Management for HBF Health Funds developed and implemented 3 separate web initiatives (using IBM’s WebSphere and Visual Age for Java), including a public access community portal.
• Instituted initiatives in automated operations, assets and licence management, and ‘root cause’ analysis of facilities management problems, reducing over-all operational costs to HBF in excess of 15%.
• As Manager of Communications & Computing Facilities Management, established Fujitsu’s strategic Business Unit in Facilities Management, business recovery and outsourcing. from a zero base, establishing 7 data centres in 18 months, with a business pipeline in excess of $300M.
• As Systems Research & Development Manager for Fujitsu, delivered contracted R&D to Fujitsu Australia and Fujitsu Japan, receiving the Fujitsu Presidents award for co-operative design & development between Fujitsu Australia, Fujitsu Japan Advanced Systems Division & the University of Santa Clara for ‘Jasmine’, the Object Oriented Database that now underpins CA UniCentre.
• As Director of Professional Services, and Director of Customer Support Services, for Unisys Australia, managed all Support & Service activities, developing & delivering solutions to a wide range of customers, including all the major Australian Banks.  Managed the design & development of leading edge hardware & software solutions for the Finance Industry in Australia.
