 Key Achievements

• Migration Lead for Release M2D of CBA’s Core Banking Modernisation Program (CBM). Successfully migrated 10 million retail Transaction and Savings accounts from legacy systems to the new SAP platform. The migration was geographically based and involved seven go-live events executed while customers utilised their accounts. At the start of the CBM program this project was recognised as one of key risk areas;
• Launch Manager for Release L2C of CBA’s Core Banking Modernisation Program (CBM), responsible for implementing functionality required for the existing and new Term Deposit and limit Savings accounts. Scope included new Account Origination, Service and Maintenance functionality along with significant Payment, Batch, and Downstream and Customer functionality. L2C built the “new bank” functionality to enable both the term deposit account migration as well as the customer migration to SAP Business Partner;
• Release Manager and then Program Manager for the “Kopano” program - the SAP Business Partner Implementation program that moved Standard Bank of South Africa (SBSA) onto a new customer model. Implemented SAP CRM to enable creation of single view of customer, including process changes to enable a customer centric model at SBSA. Migrated legacy data from 10+ systems into a single view. Integrated 28+ legacy systems with customer databases to act as slaves to the Business Partner customer master. Implemented the National Credit Act changes required to customer model;
• Lead Project Manager for the “SAP Lending Program” which implemented and integrated Banking Services 5.0 into the Standard Bank of South Africa environment, enabling a new lending product to be offered to market. Program scope covered full end to end lifecycle requirements of a low income lending product, including a new origination channel, integration to the teller and branch channels, payment channel integration to allow straight through processing of disbursements and deposits. Integration to downstream systems including GL and GDW reporting.
