 Key Achievements

• I was a VP at Barclays Capital (Hong Kong) working as the Regional UAT Manager for APAC, supporting ongoing rollouts which included India, Taiwan and Korea. As APAC UAT Manager, I was responsible for managing the work pipeline for the region, ensuring the User Testing was Planned, Prepared and executed efficiently.
• I was a VP at Barclays Capital (Japan) working as the Japan Cash Equities UAT Manager. I had the Responsibility for ensuring that the Business teams (60+ Users globally) successfully tested the various rollouts of Cash Equities systems. There were 3 major rollouts being Single Stock, Program Trading and Electronic trading over a 13 month period. This Front to Back Trading platform was fully developed internally, with the following teams in my remit – Front Office, Operations, Compliance, Product Control, Financial Control, Sales Planning and Finance, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Legal and Tax.
• At Barclays Capital (Singapore) I was promoted to VP and moved into a Senior Test Manager role. I was responsible for managing multiple Testing Streams/Teams across various investment banking domains, with a total team size of 28 Resources. In this role I had 4 Test Manager’s reporting directly too me, all who ran their individual work streams. As a key member of the senior management team, I was very involved in the strategic growth of the Singapore Team, and assisted in growing the team from 40 to 200+ staff.
• As an AVP at Barclays Capital (Singapore) I was involved in the Testing of the BARX application, in addition to managing and expanding this offshore team. The Team grew in Singapore to be a team of 8 Testers who were responsible for the testing of BARX System www.barx.com, the system being an award winning eFX application. This system contained the asset class’s FX Cash, FX Options and Money Markets.
• At Singtel/Optus, I was the ‘3G SIT Test Manager’ with the responsibility of ensuring that all the Customer Care and Order Management systems were System Integration tested. This was the single largest release Optus had run since its initial rollout, and as a result required a huge amount of responsibility. I outsourced some of the test effort to an external group based in India (Wipro), and was managing a team of 30+ TA’s and TL’s both onsite and offshore. This project worked toward a very aggressive schedule and against a very Rapid Development process. We met the timelines set, and managed to launch with sufficient software quality.
• At Singtel/Optus, I was the ‘FOCUS Test Manager’ managing the testing of ongoing releases. In this role we supported both Minor and Major releases, delivering over 25 releases over a period of 12 months.
• At Singtel/Optus, I was the ‘Program Test Manager’ for the implementation of a new Customer Care and Order Management System (FOCUS). In this role, I had the responsibility for ST, SIT and PT with the team at totalling 25 Permanent/Contract/Vendor staff. The Project involved implementing a Strategic (Siebel) solution, replacing the existing application suite. This Project involved multiple releases, running for over 12 months.
