Hiring Journey

Your guide to understanding Seven’s approach to assessing candidates

At Seven, our team work together to deliver exceptional results for our clients. We value teamwork, transparency, and delivery, and we look for those same qualities in the people we hire. We want high performers – people who are collaborative, take ownership, and are committed to achieving the best possible outcomes.

Our recruitment process is designed to give you a clear picture of who we are and how we work, while helping us understand your skills, experience, and potential fit. It’s a two-way conversation where you will have the chance to see if Seven is the right place for you, and we will get to see how you could help deliver the change our clients need.

We are committed to making the process consistent, transparent, and timely, so you always know where you stand. While some stages may vary depending on the role or business area, our Talent Acquisition Officers will guide you at each step.

Our Recruitment Stages

Please note the process steps listed below are shared for your general understanding of our evaluation methodology and are purely indicative. Actual evaluation process may vary based on aspects such as the position and its requirements.

You will start by completing a short form outlining your work experience and work expectations. This helps us identify early alignment and ensure the role is the right fit from the outset.

Next is a 45-minute conversation with one of our Talent Acquisition Officers. This is your opportunity to discuss your experience, motivation for joining Seven, and what you are looking for in your next role. We will also share more about Seven, our culture, and our benefits, and give you the chance to ask any questions.

If there is alignment between your experience, expectations, and our client requirements, we will invite you to complete a 50-minute online assessment. This is designed to evaluate the knowledge and capabilities we consider essential for success and helps us confirm you have the skills needed to deliver high-quality results in our client environments.

Upon successfully passing the online assessment, you will be invited to a one-hour interview with a senior consultant or leader. This stage focuses on your experience, how you approach challenges, and how you contribute to delivering successful outcomes. We will also explore your alignment with our values of teamwork, transparency, and delivery.

The final stage is a 75-minute interview with one or more of our senior leaders, focusing on your fit for the role and your alignment with Seven’s culture and ways of working. Before this interview, you’ll complete a DISC behavioural assessment and prepare a short presentation on a topic provided in advance. On the day, you’ll have up to 15 minutes to present, drawing on your experience to showcase your expertise, insights, and approach.

If you progress beyond the interview stages, we will request professional references covering up to the last 10 years of your employment history, where applicable. These help us validate your experience and gain insights from those who have worked closely with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

If invited to complete an online assessment, focus on reviewing the core skills and knowledge relevant to the role. Make sure you have a quiet, distraction-free environment and allow the full 50 minutes to complete it without rushing. The assessment is designed to test both your applied knowledge and your accuracy, so take time to read each question carefully before answering.

If you progress to the second interview, you’ll receive a topic in advance. Use the preparation time to:

  • Structure your presentation clearly (introduction, main points, conclusion).
  • Focus on practical examples from your experience that demonstrate your capability, problem-solving, and delivery of results.
  • Keep it concise—no longer than 15 minutes—and rehearse it so you are confident with timing.
  • Think about likely follow-up questions and how you will respond.
On the day, aim to engage the panel, speak clearly, and showcase both your technical expertise and your ability to communicate effectively

We offer structured career paths across three lines of service: Project ManagementChange Management, and Project Management Office. If you are unsure where a role fits or want to learn more about future opportunities, our Talent Acquisition team will be happy to discuss this with you.

We offer hybrid working; however, our expectation is that you remain open to working in the office in line with client requirements.
