Additionally, she set up Project Scorecards to track project KPIs related to scope, schedule, and budget. She also reviewed status reports, and refined reporting templates to ensure consistency and accuracy in project tracking and governance.

As a Graduate at Seven Consulting, Maria supported the end-to-end delivery of Project 7, Seven Consulting’s annual community initiative in partnership with CatholicCare Sydney. Leading up to the project, she drove communications and proactively managed engagement with the charity partner. She maintained all key project documents, including the budget tracker, RAID register, status reports, and weekly sponsor meeting packs. Maria supported scheduling, budgeting, and tradespeople coordination to ensure stakeholder alignment and timely delivery of accessibility-focused site upgrades. The project was completed on schedule and under budget, further developing her skills in stakeholder engagement, team collaboration, and effective project delivery.

As Graduate at Seven Consulting, Maria successfully completed the Graduate Program, designed to strengthen core project management skills for professionals across various fields. Through a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on exercises led by domain experts, she developed expertise in project management methodologies, tools (MS Project, JIRA), and soft skills essential for effective project execution. Additionally, she gained practical exposure by shadowing senior consultants in live project environments, where she observed risk management, issue resolution, and constraint handling, further enhancing her ability to navigate complex projects.

As Business Analyst at the University of New South Wales Finance Department, Maria supported the roll-out of the university’s first PCI DSS project, ensuring secure and compliant payment processing throughout the entire university campus. She also developed and presented use cases for integrating generative AI into finance operations, focusing on financial modelling, analysis, and document ideation. She also played a crucial role in improving user experience and operational workflow by developing UAT test cases for a new front-end reimbursement and approval form in the ERP system.

As Database Analyst at Gentoo, Earth, an Australian sustainability start-up, Maria optimised the database table structures of a carbon removal supplier platform with over 3,000 global suppliers, utilising Excel functions to enhance data organisation and efficiency. She facilitated the migration of manual data collection methods to a cloud-based database on Airtable, streamlining operations and improving accessibility. She also implemented data cleaning automation through custom scripts, reducing data duplicates and redundancy by 40%, significantly enhancing data accuracy and reliability.

As Analyst Intern at Processant, an Australian sustainability start-up, Maria led an internship team in developing a sustainability metrics database comprising over 200 metrics, ensuring adherence to data governance standards for efficient monitoring and organised data management. She gained proficiency in the business analysis software Envizi to deliver sustainability tracking and reporting solutions to businesses. She leveraged data visualisation tools to create compelling presentations for clients and stakeholders. Her leadership extended to developing a BPM case study for a level-3 UNSW course, providing students with valuable exposure to real-world business process analysis.
