Key Achievements
As Lead Consultant at Payroll Experts Australia, Chris led a team of 11 consultants, PMs, BAs, and payroll specialists to deliver system implementations, payroll process reviews, reconciliations, remediations, and payroll services for multiple clients.
As Consultant/Project Expert at Payroll Experts Australia, Chris managed projects and provided technical consulting for more than 16 businesses across sectors including manufacturing, education, food & hospitality, retail, local government, and NDIS. He delivered system design and build, payroll remediations, process improvements, and system implementations.
As Consultant at WFS, Chris implemented the Emplive Time and Attendance software for clients across multiple sectors. He managed project timelines and budgets, ensuring successful delivery and integration with payroll and third-party applications. With strong attention to detail in award interpretation, pay rule design, and process mapping, Chris successfully delivered multiple projects on time and within budget.
As Project Manager at YMCA, Chris led the People System Integration Programme, ensuring wage compliance across 9 EBAs/awards. He delivered initiatives such as the ESS rollout, system interface improvements, and the implementation of a new enterprise agreement on Emplive, from EA negotiations through to in-house system design and testing. He also applied data analytics and reporting to improve operational capability and drive process improvements.
As Project Scheduler at Villa Maria Catholic Homes, Chris managed a multi-million-dollar payroll remediation project, overseeing the implementation of a new Time & Attendance system (WFS) and a bespoke solution developed with PwC. This large-scale change program followed the merger of two Catholic organisations and involved risk management, contract negotiations, and stakeholder engagement with PwC Partners/Directors. Reporting directly to the executive team and CEO, Chris ensured effective governance and delivery under board-level oversight.
As Facilities Manager at Bamber House, Chris oversaw daily operations of more than 100 bed boarding houses, including financial reporting, guest services, and maintenance. He managed a house expansion project that increased capacity by 20 beds and also provided facilities management for Oaklands Lodge, where he led a refurbishment program.
As Project Manager at the Ministry of Defence, Chris managed three Counter Improvised Explosive Device (CIED) projects, including two mine roller systems (Choker and Barbadian) and the Buffalo, the British Army’s largest mine-resistant wheeled vehicle. Part of a £50m CIED program with an in-year spend of £2.5m, he supported operational deployment in Afghanistan, UK training, and post-operations drawdown. Chris oversaw scheduling, cost modelling for more than 15 modification projects, risk management, and delivery of all system safety cases, successfully completing all projects on time, within budget, and to performance requirements.
As Deputy Safety Manager at the Ministry of Defence in Bristol, Chris supported the delivery of 44 project safety cases, covering the British military’s gap crossing capabilities and the Talisman route proving and clearance system. He ensured operational readiness by maintaining and delivering safety cases critical to equipment deployed in Afghanistan. In this role, Chris also introduced a new system safety software tool and implemented a full audit program, achieved through rigorous planning and close collaboration with key stakeholders.
As Risk and Program Manager at the Ministry of Defence in Bristol, Chris managed project scheduling and risk management for the £1.2 billion next-generation nuclear reactor program, scheduled for delivery in 2032. He coordinated with interdependent projects, analysed program impacts, and maintained the master schedule. During this role, Chris also introduced new risk management processes, strengthening governance within the Nuclear Reactor Project Team.
